Edamame Hummus Recipe Without Tahini

Tahini free for those with nut allergies. To balance edamames very green flavor and fibrous texture i had to use a little more tahini lemon juice and water than my go to herbed hummus recipe.

A rich creamy avocado hummus without tahini.




Edamame hummus recipe without tahini. Process until smooth and creamy. Add the garbanzo beans 2 tablespoons of water the olive oil lemon juice garlic cumin and 14 teaspoon of salt to a food processor. If needed add additional water to thin out the hummus and 14 teaspoon of salt to your taste preference.



Process until smooth and creamy. This vegan hummus is made with edamame garlic and lemon. Blend the edamame hummus until smooth adding even more water if a looser texture is desired.



Transfer to a small bowl stir in the parsley and drizzle with remaining oil. Cook edamame according to package instructions. Drain and let cool.



If needed add additional water or oil to thin out the hummus as desired. Add cilantro to the food processor and process until chopped. Scrape down the bowl.



Combined with crisp veggies or whole grain crackers edamame hummus is a delicious healthy snack or appetizer. The word hummus is derived from the arabic word for chickpeas so this chickpea free hummus is quite untraditional. Place edamame into a large pot and cover with salted water.



Add the garbanzo beans 4 tablespoons of water olive oil lemon juice garlic to a food processor. Let cool completely before refrigerating. Add edamame tahini water cilantro lemon juice olive oil kosher salt cumin and cayenne pepper.



Place garlic cloves in the food processor and process until very finely chopped. Puree garlic in food processor until minced. Place over medium low heat bring to a simmer and cook until tender about 5 minutes.



Store covered in the refrigerator. In a food processor puree the edamame tahini water lemon zest and juice garlic salt cumin and coriander until smooth. Enjoy as a dip healthy snack or sandwich spread.



Add zest and juice of one lemon. Season to taste with salt pepper and additional lemon juice as desired. Scrape down the bowl.



Add salt paprika and red chili pepper flakes to your desired taste preference. With the motor running slowly drizzle in 2 tablespoons of the olive oil and mix until absorbed.
